Xiaomi Vice President Lu Weibing has teased the camera capabilities of the upcoming Mi 10 Pro, specifically the zoom range. Tipster Xiaomishka has shared the photo on Twitter writing, “Lu Weibing showed a zoom shot on #Mi10Pro, which should be 10 times.”

He further revealed that despite the images showing impressive zoom qualities, the quality is not very good due to the “compression of pictures on Weibo.” Since there is no EXIF data of the photo, it could be from the non-pro version. The first image is of a snowy scene while the second photo zooms in on the red Santa Mi Bunnies. Check out the images in the tweet below:

According to a report, the Mi Note 10 Pro will have a 108-megapixel main camera and may make use of the 5X zoom camera from the Mi Note 10. They also add that a Redmi K30 Pro is slated to be launched as well, but the phone will stick to the K30 camera setup which features a 64-megapixel main camera and no telephoto lens.

The report further adds that Xiaomi is expected to unveil its new Mi 10 models on February 14 and the Redmi K30 Pro may be announced in February as well. According to a report by NDTV Gadgets, the specifications of the Mi 10 Pro include a 6.4-inch full-HD+ display, Snapdragon 865 SoC, up to 16GB of RAM and quad-rear camera setup. The rear camera setup will see a 108-megapixel primary sensor, a 16-megapixel secondary sensor, a 12-megapixel third sensor and a 5-megapixel sensor. The phone is also rumoured to have a 5,250mAh battery under the hood. Tipster Xiaomishka had earlier revealed that the Xiaomi Mi 10 could cost $599 (Rs 42,600), while the Mi 10 Pro could cost $742 (Rs 52,900). However, the tipster added that the price may not be accurate.

Motorola Rolls Out Android 10 Update for the Moto G7 Plus

Moto G7 Plus became the third Motorola smartphone to get Android 10, after Motorola One Power and Motorola One Vision.

Motorola Rolls Out Android 10 Update for the Moto G7 Plus
Moto G7 Plus became the third Motorola smartphone to get Android 10, after Motorola One Power and Motorola One Vision.

Motorola has finally started to roll out the Android 10 update for the Moto G7 Plus in Brazil and Mexico. According to reports, the stable update will take a few week’s time to hit other markets, including the United States and India. This update will be the final version as its beta version was launched last week in the company’s traditional manner for the phased roll-out of software updates. The update will come with the latest security patches and features like full gesture navigation, dark theme, better privacy controls, among others.

The reason for launching the update in Brazil before anywhere else can be cited to its popularity in the country. According to the company’s Brazilian support page, the update started rolling out a few days ago. Moto G7 Plus became the third Motorola smartphone to get Android 10, after the Motorola One Power and Motorola One Vision. However, both of these phones were a part of the Android One programme, which is not the case with Moto G7 Plus. Interestingly, its successor, Moto G8 Plus, also hasn’t received the software update as of yet.

The pace of releasing the update can be also seen as unsatisfactory as it comes after five months of Android 10’s release. With a 6.2 inch display, Moto G7 Plus features a Snapdragon 636 processor, a 16-megapixel rear camera and 12-megapixel front camera. It has 3,000mAh battery and a memory card slot in addition to its 64GB internal storage.

Microsoft May Have Started Rolling Out its Modern Icons for Windows 10

In December last year, Microsoft announced that it will launch more than 100 redesigned product icons for Windows 10. According to reports, the wait for the revamped icons would not be for long. A Reddit user has shared the news that Microsoft may have started rolling out random tests for the new icons with Windows Insiders. Right now, only the Windows 10 taskbar has received the redesigned icons which are based on Microsoft’s Fluent Design System.

The user posted the news in a group on Reddit. However, later it was found that the user could have activated the new icons manually by using a tool called ‘StartIsBack’.

For now, these icons are only available for Windows Insiders, who are running the latest Insider Build. Also, all the icons were not pushed for the modern touch just yet. For starters, the Windows Start logo remains unchanged. Most likely, however, all the icons would be available for Windows Insiders within a week or two, as per the report. Following these phases of testing, Microsoft is likely to receive feedback about the new icons and might make some minor changes on the basis of the received feedback. After the tests, the new modern icons will be introduced for general users.
