SpaceX Launch LIVE: Watch Here as Crew Dragon Attempts to Make History Again

SpaceX Launch LIVE: Watch Here as Crew Dragon Attempts to Make History Again

After the Florida weather spoiled SpaceX’s party, the Crew Dragon Demo-2 mission will attempt a second launch later today, at 3:22PM EDT (12:52AM IST on May 31).

  • Last Updated: May 30, 2020, 10:32 PM IST

SpaceX is geared up and rolling for round two of trying to make history as the first commercial company to carry humans to space. After the Florida weather played spoilsport and cancelled the SpaceX Crew Dragon launch on May 27 with barely 15 minutes left on the timer, all eyes are on SpaceX and NASA’s first manned mission, titled Demo-2, to suggest that this is the final “trial” mission of SpaceX’s efforts, which the latter will try really hard to get right. To watch the historic launch’s live stream for yourself, tune in to SpaceX’s stream on YouTube, in the video here.

SpaceX has, over the past years, been pitching for privatisation of space missions. Its big advantage, as claimed by its founder Elon Musk, is the usage of reusable space rockets, wherein the initial booster stage can be recovered and reused in multiple missions. This will make scheduled space runs, such as trips to the International Space Station for both crew and cargo, more affordable. Today’s Demo-2 second launch attempt is the final hurdle to this process, which SpaceX will aim to cross, subject to good weather conditions.

NASA astronauts Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken arrived at the NASA Kennedy Space Center earlier today in shiny white Tesla Model X cars, with redesigned space suits also looking more suave in comparison to NASA’s previous suits. As per the launch day schedule, the astronauts are presently undergoing the final crew module checks post breakfast and ascent, following which the hatch will be closed shortly. The next time the hatch will be reopened is close to 24 hours later, when the SpaceX Crew Dragon module will dock itself at the PMA-2 docking station on ISS’ Harmony module.

If SpaceX gets its launch right, it will be scheduled for more crew missions going forward, starting as early as later this year. This is a part of SpaceX’s eventual plan to play a role in manned missions to the moon and Mars as well, later in this decade. If today’s launch is held successfully, this will mark the first time since 2011 that NASA’s astronauts will take off for space from American soil. So far, NASA has been piggybacking rides to the ISS aboard the Russian Soyuz crew module, from the Kazakhstan launch site.

PUBG Mobile New 'Fourex' Map Leaked in Beta: Watch Video For More

PUBG Mobile New 'Fourex' Map Leaked in Beta: Watch Video For More

Here’s an early look at what might be the newest and hottest map on PUBG Mobile.

  • Last Updated: May 26, 2020, 4:08 PM IST

If you are a PUBG Mobile fan like me then you might have seen some teasers about a new map. The official PUBG Mobile social media channel had recently posted a four-piece jigsaw puzzle hinting that something new is around the corner. While some speculated the arrival of the Karakin map from the PC version of PUBG, some believed that it could be the highly anticipated Erangel 2.0.

Well, those guesses are most likely wrong as the latest 0.19.0 beta update in China includes the new map. The map is a part of the Classic battle royale mode, which means this is the fifth edition and also the first map for PUBG Mobile that hasn’t made it to the PC or console version of the game.

Early gameplay by popular PUBG Mobile YouTuber Powerbang Gaming has revealed that the map currently doesn’t have a name and is called ‘Secret Map’ in the game as it is still under development. The map is like a cross between all the existing ones. So there is snow on the top right, a desert area on the bottom left while the rest is mostly grasslands and trees. There is a rumour that the map could be called ‘Fourex’ since it includes parts of all four maps.

It doesn’t seem as big as Erangel or Miramar though, and the YouTuber suggests it could be a 2x2km map. There has been a significant and well-needed update in the topography while the building and houses have also been reworked. The map also includes the usual vehicles include the motorbike, UAZ, buggy and so on. There is also the addition of a new monster truck that can basically drive over almost anything including boulders. There are also some new water physics in the game due to the addition of waterfalls in the map. Apart from these, there are also a bunch of loot crates in different parts of the map that are mostly loaded with a fully kitted gun including a scope, extended mag and foregrips.

As per the video, there is also the addition of a new shotgun called SPAS 12 which is most likely to come with a built-in silencer and a smaller spread, making it lethal for short-range combat.

For more on the new map, check out the video below:

South Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety has granted approval to Samsung to use the Electrocardiogram (ECG) feature for measuring heart rhythms on the Galaxy Watch Active 2. The feature is already available on Apple Watch globally. The Samsung Health Monitor app also received clearance for blood pressure measurement and users will be able to conveniently measure both ECG and BP, giving them a better picture of their overall health.

“When you pair the advanced hardware of Galaxy watches with innovative software solutions, you can create unmatched experiences – such as in this case, convenient and accessible health check-ins for millions of users across the world,” TaeJong Jay Yang, Corporate SVP and Head of Health Team, Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics said in a statement.

The ECG feature uses advanced sensor technology on the Galaxy Watch Active2 and will enable users to measure and analyze their heart rhythm for irregularities indicating Atrial Fibrillation (AFib). To measure the ECG, a user just need to open the app and place his smartwatch arm on a flat surface, and then place his fingertip of the other hand on the top button of the smartwatch for about 30 seconds.

The Samsung Health Monitor app will be available on the Galaxy Watch Active2 within the third quarter and will progressively expand to upcoming Galaxy Watch devices. “This marks just one way in which Samsung is pioneering to give everyone a simple, convenient and informed picture of their overall health and wellness,” said Jay Yang.

  • News18.com
  • Last Updated: May 25, 2020, 12:14 PM IST

Realme is all set to announce three new products in India today. Surprisingly none of them are going to be a smartphone as the company is planning to expand its reach to other segments. The company will be announcing its first smart TV dubbed the Realme TV as well as a new smartwatch. The company already sells the Realme Buds Air true wireless earphones and it will be expanding that by launching a possibly more affordable option.

Realme’s launch event is scheduled at 12:30PM today and like most recent launch events, this one will also be an online-only event due the COVID-19 pandemic. You can catch the livestream down below or head to Realme India’s via social media channels including YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook.

REALME TV

As mentioned above, Realme will be entering the smart TV market with its new Realme TV. By the looks of it, the company wants to compete in the space against the likes of Xiaomi, Samsung and various other brands by offering a competitive product. The company has teased some of the specifications of the upcoming smart TV which include a MediaTek SoC that will power the device, as well as a four-speaker system with 24W audio output. When it comes to the design, the Realme TV is also expected to come with minimal bezels.

It will be running on the popular Android TV platform and recently Realme India head Madhav Sheth revealed that the remote control will include dedicated buttons for Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, and Google Assistant.

REALME WATCH

Realme is also going to expand its wearables offering by launching the new Realme Watch. Again, there is limited information about the product however it has been teased to feature a 1.4-inch colour square touchscreen. Realme will be offering it in different strap options along with several watchfaces and it will come with a heart-rate and SpO2 sensors. It is also expected to offer various modes to track activity including basketball, aerobics, badminton, football, treadmill, running, yoga, and biking modes. Heart-rate sensor and SpO2 sensor will be present as well.

REALME BUDS AIR NEO

After launching its first true wireless earphones, the Buds Air, Realme is expected to now bring a new version which is apparently going to be more affordable. The Buds Air Neo will offer a similar design as the original Buds Air, but will come in different colour options and a smaller battery offering 3 hours of music playback. The earphones will feature 13mm drivers with support for dual-channel transmission and a super low latency mode for gaming.

Realme Watch With Heart Rate Monitor, Fitness Tracking Modes Launched at Rs 3,999

Realme has launched its first smartwatch in India offering a bunch of features including heart rate monitoring, fitness tracking, notification alerts and more.

  • Last Updated: May 25, 2020, 5:39 PM IST

After much speculation and teasers, Realme finally launched its first smartwatch product in India. Simply called the Realme Watch, the wearable comes with a coloured touchscreen with a 2.5D glass on top. The company says that the watch comes with a PPG sensor to monitor a users heart rate and offers various sports modes.

The smartwatch can also send alerts from your smartphone including voice calls, SMS messages, and various other app notifications from Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. The Realme Watch can also be used to control music as well as unlock your smartphone remotely or to trigger the shutter of your phone’s camera. The watch doesn’t have any inbuilt microphones so you can’t really receive calls, but you can however see who is calling and reject calls. There are 12 watch faces to choose from with over 100 to be provided later through an over-the-air (OTA) update.

As for the specs, there is a 1.4-inch (320×320 pixels) display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is loaded with a three-axis accelerometer and a PPG sensor and supports 20mm removable straps with an IP68-certified build for dust and water resistance. It supports Bluetooth v5.0 and can be connected to any device with Android 5.0 Lollipop or above using the Realme Link app. Packing a 160mAh battery, the watch is claimed to offer seven days of usage with the continuous heart rate monitor enabled and nine-day battery life with disabled heart rate monitoring. A Power Saving Mode pushes the battery life to up to 20 days of usage on a single charge.

Fitness features include real-time heart rate monitoring using the built-in PPG sensor that can send alerts under certain conditions, like when the user’s heart rate is lower or higher than the safe thresholds. There is also a SpO2 monitor to track blood oxygen levels. The watch also offers 14 different sports modes including Badminton, Cricket, Indoor Running, Outdoor Running, Walking, and Yoga, among others. It can even monitor sleep, offer sedentary and hydration reminders, and meditation relaxing.

The Realme Watch is priced at Rs 3,999 and will be available via Flipkart and the Realme website June 5 at 12PM. It will be offered through offline stores as well while the fashion design wrist strap designs will be sold separately in Red, Blue, and Green colour options priced at Rs 499 each.

PUBG Mobile Season 14 Royale Pass ‘Spark The Flame’ Leaked: Watch Video

PUBG Mobile Season 14 Royale Pass ‘Spark The Flame’ Leaked: Watch Video

With Season 13 kicking off just two weeks back, an early leak of the next season of PUBG Mobile has already made it to YouTube.

  • Last Updated: May 25, 2020, 11:14 AM IST

PUBG Mobile recently kicked off Season 13 earlier this month bringing new content for players. With just two weeks into the season, a new leak has given an early sneak peek at the next season. According to a video by YouTube Mr Ghost Gaming, Season 14 is going to be titled ‘Spark The Flame.’

It is one of the early leaks so information is limited but it seems that the next season is going to have a lot of flame and fire inspired in-game items and skins so expect a lot of reds and oranges, and obviously flame patterns.

The video reveals the various Tier Rewards that one gets by progressing up their ranks. These include a shiny full-silver coloured M24 skin with engraved flames, a new set with a leather jacket and headgear, a new Season 14 parachute skin, and of course an avatar frame. The leaked video also includes some new loot crate skins which could be for upcoming weapons in the Gun Lab. There are also some new outfits including a steampunk-inspired set with a gas mask giving off a very futuristic vibe. The same set also shows the player donning a new M416 skin. There’s also a set that looks like an Egyptian Princess which is obviously going to suit the female character. The best-looking set however is another ancient Egyptian King inspired set with golden snakes on it, probably something Cobra Commander would wear.

Of course this is an early leak, but the YouTuber has been pretty accurate with the information he has shared in the past. Check out the video below for more:

MIUI 12 Launch by Xiaomi at 5:30PM Today: Key Features and How to Watch Live

MIUI 12 Launch by Xiaomi at 5:30PM Today: Key Features and How to Watch Live

Xiaomi has already tested MIUI 12 among testers in India, and it remains to be seen if the custom Android interface features any India specific touches.

  • News18.com
  • Last Updated: May 19, 2020, 10:55 AM IST

Xiaomi MIUI 12 is set to be launched officially today, after making its first official appearance last month. Having been under pilot testing for some time, MIUI 12 is now ready for prime time action among the legions of Xiaomi users in India. The latest version of Xiaomi’s custom Android interface comes with a number of improvements, as well as new features to aid difficulties in usage. The live action from Xiaomi’s official unveiling of the global MIUI 12 ROM can be caught online later today, and here’s everything you need to know about it.

Live stream

The Xiaomi MIUI 12 global ROM launch will be held via an online live stream later today, at 8PM Beijing Time. Indian users can catch the launch live by accessing the YouTube live stream on Xiaomi’s official channel. In India, the live stream will begin at 5:30PM IST. The live stream of the MIUI 12 unveil will also take place on Xiaomi’s official social media handles, and interested parties can catch it live on the company’s Facebook and Twitter accounts as well.

Expected new features

Among the highlights of MIUI 12 are three main features — Dark Mode 2.0, AI calling and live transcript, and a security feature called ‘barbed wire’. With Dark Mode 2.0, Xiaomi is introducing an always-on display for its phones for possibly the first time, bringing it up to speed with various implementations of always-on displays by the likes of OnePlus, Samsung and others. It will be interesting to see how Xiaomi’s take on the always-on display differs from its competitors.

The second major new feature are enhanced privacy features, where reports suggest that Xiaomi is taking a randomised virtual ID approach towards installed apps. This will seemingly protect users from directly sharing their email addresses. Simultaneously, MIUI 12 will reportedly maintain logs of app data requests and data accesses on phones, in a bid to reinstate user faith in the company’s data privacy practices. This will be particularly important to observe, since Xiaomi has recently faced considerable backlash over roguish data collection practices through its browser apps.

The other security feature is called ‘barbed wire’, and is Xiaomi’s implementation of the limited app permission access feature on Android. This will allow users to let an app access a particular permission for only a limited period of time, therefore limiting which app can misuse user data.

Other features aboard MIUI 12 will include a new AI calling feature, which will live transcribe incoming calls and offer preset responses as answers. The feature may prove to be particularly important for users with hearing disabilities. The full list of features, including any India-specific new features (if any), will be revealed in a few hours. To view it live, tune in to the live stream above.

F1 2020 Gameplay Trailer Brings the Thrill of Racing Amid Lockdown: Watch Here

F1 2020, the season, looks like a bleak possibility right now, as the Covid-19 pandemic shows little signs of going away. In such circumstances, racing enthusiasts and aficionados will be thrilled to find a hot new trailer that dropped yesterday — F1 2020. This year’s edition of the premier racing game looks swankier than ever before, and brings with itself a comprehensive feature that gives you the taste of becoming a team owner, a manager, an engineer and a race driver, all at one go. With these improvements in sight, F1 2020 (the game) looks set to bring you the closest that you can come to all the thrill and action of Formula One racing this year.

Before discussing further, here’s the 1-minute first gameplay trailer that F1 2020 has released:

Starting with the game itself, the big new addition is ‘My Team’. With 10 set teams and drivers already part of the grid, My Team gives you the opportunity to create the 11th team in the pit lane, and start an entire F1 journey on your own. The mode is almost an entire game by itself, since it offers players micro-control over their own F1 team. You can hire your own drivers from a roster that also includes 2019’s Formula 2 racers — as a graceful tribute, the makers of F1 have included Anthoine Hubert, the F2 driver who tragically lost his life in a high speed crash last year. Juan Manuel Correa, who was also part of the crash and suffered severe injuries to his leg, is also included in the list.

With My Team, players will be making their own team crest from scratch, select an engine partner to power their car for the year, find sponsors, design race suits and a racing livery for the car to sport, and essentially control every aspect of an F1 team. Explaining the magnitude of the mode in an interview with IGN, Lee Mather, the F1 2020 game director stated that My Team by itself is “almost a game again”, further calling it “absolutely enormous”.

Think of this as a bit like the legendary ‘Manager Mode’ from FIFA, which lets you almost entirely take over a club and raise it from scratch. With F1 2020, players will get first hand experience of how it feels to run an entire team, and the process will be aided by an AI engine that has presumably been sharpened to account for ancillary club functions. The game also has an entire value and economy system to represent the financial side of things. What now remains to be seen is how much do cut-scenes play a role here, and how cohesive the gaming experience remains.

F1 2020 has always been one of the finest racing games of all times, particularly being favourites of those who love a technical racing experience. Amid the Covid-19 lockdown, F1 2020 is set to release globally on July 10, 2020, and will be available on Xbox, PlayStation, PC and Stadia.

While there is no confirmation from Realme, it is speculated that the Narzo 10 will be priced under Rs 15,000. As mentioned before, the Nazro 10 could be a rebranded version of Realme 6i that retails at MMK 249,900 (Rs 13,000 approx) for the base 3GB + 64GB storage variant. There is also a 4GB + 128GB storage variant which is priced at MMK 299,900 (Rs 16,000 approx) in Myanmar.
